It has been another eventful year in terms of Fashion for 2NE1, typically they are not afraid to experiment and it was not any different in 2012. We saw the girls become even more passionate and aware of outfits they wore. Whether it be at the Airport or On-stage, it is clear that each 2NE1 Member puts in lots of effort and thought into their style.

This is why as 2012 rolled to a close, we thought it would be interesting to go through all the fabulous outfits 2NE1 have rocked throughout this year and try to highlight our favorite looks. Staff at YGL have gone through many different styles 2NE1 have donned and nominated our TOP 4 outfits for several categories, including:

Since 2NE1 really do have impeccable fashion sense, we apologize beforehand if any of your favorite looks did not make the shortlist. A. Fault Magazine: We’ve seen the “darker” side of 2NE1 many times before, such as their ‘W Korea’ magazine photoshoot in 2009 and in for the “It Hurts” MV. The 2012 ‘Fault Magazine‘ cover shoot exemplified the darker look that the girls have always looked stunning in. The girls were beautiful and dangerous in the mature outfits mixed with a little avant garde styling. B. Dazed and Confused Korea: The individual shots really drew us to this shoot. With plenty of light creating a fresh and youthful feel in the photos, the street-inspired and more boyish looks were the perfect representation of Adidas. C. MTV Iggy Photoshoot: While we all love the super serious model-pout-fashion-face that 2NE1 is always ready to deliver in editorials, we go crazy for silly moments like these. Their playful expressions and colorful statement piece outfits made these photos one of our favorites. Check out more pictures from the MTV Iggy Interview!

D. Nylon Magazine:[/b] Bright spring colors and flowy fabrics, the wardrobe was on point for this cover shoot. It was the perfect palette for spring, the season this issue of Nylon came out in. The girls looked feminine and flawless but still retained the spunk that 2NE1 is known for. Read all about their looks in our YGL Style Files #1 and YGL Style Files #2.


A. SBS Super Concert in Irvine: 2NE1 broke the monotony of the girl group scene from the very beginning by foregoing matching outfits. It’s extremely rare that we see the girls in all the same outfit or pattern but it’s refreshing when we do. During this particular performance, everyone wore outfits with the same pattern but each girl was expertly styled to suit their individual taste and personality. We loved every second of it, Check out our Style File for the Outfits!

B. Semyung University: We know the girls as ambassadors of youthful, urban style and these performance outfits exuded just that. They look tough but comfortable and relaxed which fit the setting of this performance well. Don’t they look like cool university students that you’d love to be friends with?

C. Etude Pink Play Concert: What better way to arrive at the Pink Play concert than decked out in all pink? This was a perfect set of color matched outfits that were equally representative of Etude and 2NE1. The Blackjack’s official color shone proudly on stage.

D. SBS Inkigayo 120805: Overloaded with statement pieces, there is so much to love about each outfit here. It’s the high-class style that oozes confidence that grabbed our hearts. The strength of the pieces they chose played up the confidence that 2NE1 always has on stage.


A. 2012 Melon Music Awards: 2NE1 dressed in all black but definitely were not boring, the outfits they wore to this award show were all chic, stylish and complementing each other perfectly. There’s a lot of sexiness and mystery going on here.

B. New Evolution Concert Press Conference: In Singapore, 2NE1 came with a monotone look to this press conference but once again, did not bore. Though limited in the color palette, the details in their outfits made each look stand out on its own. The girls wore pieces from the SBS Concert and CL’s Chanel Event in away that made individual as well as a group style statement.

C. 2NE1 x Intel Make Thumb Noise Project Press Conference: Black is the perfect choice when the girls have to be formal at press conferences for sponsors. All four outfits were sleek and showed off their bodies in a good way, highlighting long legs or hugging curves. It was mature but still edgy. Although they are wearing pieces we have seen before, the girls are able to give life to the clothes that keep them looking fresh and new.

D. MTV VMAJ in Japan: We might get confused responses from this choice, but this is so typical of 2NE1 that we just had to pick it: flamboyant, fun and attention grabbing. And who can forget the impact CL’s Unicorn dress had? It has popped up on fans for nearly every New Evolution concert. Check out our Style File for the Outfits.


A. The Maybelline Volume Express Cat Eyes Waterproof Mascara Magnum Event is special because we got to see Solo Bom representing 2NE1. Of course she was fabulous in her short short dress displaying those wonderful legs. The color-blocking on the dress adds that small touch to her curves that made her look even sexier. B. It’s not so much the outfit, but considering the fact she actually showed her stomach, this is a highlight and fan favorite. Who knew that Bom had been hiding such a cute stomach?!

C. Perfectly displays Boms obsession with tights throughout this year and we love the striking blue jacket on top, too. Check out the Style File for the Event.

D. This is a lovely dress. The cut is very mature but the pleats and other details in this dress add the playfulness that we know Bom has an abundance of. We also spot a bit of clothes-sharing by the girls, can you guess what piece and what member?


A/ CL‘s almost head-to-toe (she was wearing Doc Marten boots LOL) Jeremy Scott style for her recent jaunt to Hong Kong, may seem a bit full on for some, but CL definitely has the attitude and charisma to pull it off perfectly. It probably also helps to have the DESIGNER there helping to style everything just right. Check out the Style File for CL’s trendy trip to Hong Kong.

B. Do you remember when Dara posted this?! The collective fandom shrieks of happiness? We nearly died thanks to those legs, legs, legs! Those tights partnered with those heels were made for her legs. They also ushered in a new era CL wearing short shorts and baring those envy-inducing honey thighs.

C. CL and her fellow 2NE1 members know how to rock an airport, just scroll down to our airport category to see. This particular look, is such a stylish and put together outfit that all eyes were on her in New York City. Just look at those heels! We hope she didn’t have to walk too far in those.

D. A wonderful fresh, urban look. We love it when CL dresses youthfully like this! She looks like a boss in this outfit, just as her hat points out.


A. The chain detail across the shoulders (making its second appearance in this article) added just the right amount of edginess to really hone this look in for Dara at the Spiderman Premier in Korea. Check out the Style File for Dara’s fabulous outfit.

B. It’s refreshing to see Dara go for a really girly look at the Nikon Legend Event. She can always pull it off and this sweet, feminine dress was no exception! Check out the Style File for the Event.

C. Look at that flowing mermaid hair in that beautiful color! The hair and sweet dress really made this look memorable in 2NE1′s trip to France. Dara and the girls looked amazingly lovely in their photoshoot for W Korea taken while in Cannes France for the advertisers convention. Dara is truly a style chameleon though we adore her funky urban looks, it doesn’t hurt mention again that we also love Dara dressing girly.

D. Dara rocked New York in those Red trousers. End of story.


A. Minzy dressing youthfully is always a delight. And she’s showing more skin than usual leaving SBS’s Inkigayo, which is always something to freak out about. A baseball cap and printed tank top, with a cool spike choker is fun, funky, and just perfect for Minzy.

B. Minzy gave fans a treat showing off her legs in New York City making the simple teal dress instantly stand out. The color is great against her skin-tone and her flat shoes keeps the outfit sweet and simple. When left to her own devices, Minzy favors feminine silhouettes and vibrant colors, which indicate an evolved sense of her own personal style.

C. Talk about complete 180! This outfit shows the mature side of Minzy and as much as we hate to admit it, our maknae is growing up. She’s growing up well, though, as we can see here. So chic with those sunglasses and keeping the black going with the tights and shoes in Singapore.

D. Doesn’t she just look so comfortable here? We love it when Minzy dresses her age and comfortably, it makes us want to roll around in the grass while she takes pictures of us with that Nikon camera she’s probably holding! Aside from her adidas jacket, EVERYONE should recognize that shirt, its a variation of her Cassette Playa since it’s from Minzy’s “I Am the Best” solo scene. In fact Minzy is so popular with the brand, she was featured on the cover page of their website.


A. This all-black outfit stays put-together on the way to Singapore, but it still manages to bring the sexy thanks to those tights that Bom is so fond of.

B. That bag is such a statement piece, bold red and in such an interesting piece. Paired with those cool studded shorts (she just loves those studded shorts), this outfit is a classic. Check out more images here.

C. We love the casual hoodie and shoes she’s sporting here. There’s no reason why airport-comfy can’t be cute and stylish!

D. How fun is that sweater? Just like Bom, this look is playful AND sexy. We don’t know how she does it. Check out more pictures from Taiwan Arrivals as well as our Style File on her Jeremy Scott look.


A. Look at the cute expression on her face. That alone makes this a shoo-in for favorite outfit! Well, along with the casual urban look she’s got going with the cool graphic tee and shredded jeans.

B. All attention was on CL as she arrived in Hong Kong. That huge, fluffy sweater is the winner in this one. The patches on the sleeve make this puffy thing more edgy and more CL-like. Pairing it with ankle booties gave us the perfect opportunity to see the wonder that is CL’s legs. We searched high and low for this sweater dress, and in the end concluded it the patches were added by a stylist or this is some one-of-a-kind piece from a designer she is chummy with.

C. We completely forgot for a second that we were talking about their airport fashion. This outfit looks like something you could go to an event in! It’s cute, sweet, and simple. Just the right does of sexy, without over-doing it. Simply perfect.

D. Just 2 things. That cape. Those boots. CL picked such a beautiful, vibrant blue. We love this! The coat is functional, but cut in to be interesting, the color makes you take a second and third look to try to soak it all in, that is if you can get past the gorgeous legs. A. Dara pulls off this look effortlessly, we’re sure not many can. With boyish charm and the best t-shirt in the world, this laidback outfit was one of our favorites.

B. Her youthful charm radiates in this outfit. The polka-dots, with the green bag, with the red bag, seem to clash, but then some how work together for this comfortable but still stylish look. The printed sweater and those flatform sneakers were cute and funky highlights in this ensemble.

C. We fell in love with her deep red leopard print blazer. The long, dramatic cut takes the spotlight. This is the perfect edgy look that Dara does so well. She pairs the jacket with a simple white top (she favors those white shirts doesn’t she?) and black jeans letting the jacket be the star, as it should. Check out more pictures here.

D. There is nothing more adorable than our favorite girls in animal pajamas. In Taiwan Dara made the perfect entrance, the hat, tiger tuxedo jacket pajama sweater looking thing is adorable and whimsical and just FUN on her. Click for our Style File.


A. Black fur contrasting against delicate cream lace made this look mature, but contemporary. Minzy definitely pulls it off with her purple hair. Check out more pictures of Minzy on the way to Singapore here.

B. We love the Philip Lim bag, a favorite of hers, and the Vivienne Westwood sweater. Her hair looks super sleek and brings together the whole look as 2NE1 went to Japan for one of their New Evo concerts.

C. Sometimes all it takes is an amazing coat. Minzy looks warm and fashionable in this outfit, perfect for another run to the airport. This divine suede and fur coat is simply droolworthy. How can something so functional also be so chic? We love how she matches it with a green quilt handbag, subtle style choices like these are really impressive in our maknae. D. The denim dress did it for us, it’s adorable on Minzy! Paired with that cute, funky hairstyle, this outfit looked comfortable, but still spunky as 2NE1 arrived in New York. We love the detailing on her knees, it’s these little details that Minzy sneaks in that makes her style so interesting.

Je me suis dit que ça serait une bonne idée pour venir donner son avis sur toutes les différentes tenues qu'elles ont portées cette année! Faire des votes n'est pas important, mais du moins venir dire quelles sont vos tenues favorites, et pourquoi! Je suis désolé, mais vu la taille de l'article, je n'ai rien traduit... J'espère que vous ne m'en voudrez pas, mais bon, les commentaires ne sont pas indispensables, c'est surtout à vous de nous dire votre avis! ^^
Je viendrais donner mon avis aussi plus tard! Même si je vous avoue que j'ai vraiment du mal à choisir d'une seule tenue par catégorie... xD

Alors, c'est vrai que c'est dure de choisir mais je me lance.
Pour best magazine shoot, je dirais C
Ce shoot pour les MTV iggy est très naturel, elles ont l'air très heureuse et elles sont super belle, niveau coiffure et tenues cest également parfait !
Best group on stage outfits : c'est trop dure les tenues sont vraiment magnifique mais comme il faut en choisir qu'une je dirais celles du SBS super concert, ce côté hyper colores leur va super bien et ça ce démarque des autres tenues je dirais, même si je les aime vraiment toutes.
Best group public apparence outfits : c'est marrant dans les grand événements je les trouve vraiment moins bien habillé enfin chacun ses goûts mais moi je n'aime pas trop ces tenues. Alors je choisirais la A aux melon music awards, je sais pas y'a un petit plus dans ces tenues même si elles sont pas géniales.
Best solo outfits: Pour notre chère bom et bien je trouve qu'ils n'ont pas sélectionnés les plus belle tenues mais bom s'habille vraiment bien j'ai jamais rien a dire alors ici ma préférer est la C j'aime beaucoup ce style short colznt et veste en cuir !
CL: trop dure ! J'hésite entre la A et D la A c'est du CL extravagant ce qu'elle aime bien mais la D c'est du CL plus simple mais aussi très stylé qui lui va extrêmement bien ! Je choisis la A car j'ai vraiment flaché quand je l'ai vu dans cette tenue!
Dara: j'ai hésité longuement mais je penche pour la tenue C cette robe lui va à merveille et ses magnifiques cheveux même si on parle seulement de la tenue. Bref, ce genre de tenue va très bien à Dara!
Minzy: Je choisis la tenue C cette robe bleu lui va à merveilleeeee ! Vraiment elle ne devrait plus jamais mettre ce genre de collier dans la 1 et puis les truc ample lui vont bien mais quand c'est sérées sa montre sa silhouette et elle se rend pas compte que sa lui va très bien les robes !
Best airport style : Bommie: encore une fois ils n'ont pas choisis les bonnes tenues ! Mais je trouve que la C est très jolie le sac rouge casse l'ambiance sombre c'est très beau !
CL : Je choisis la C c'est magnifique j'ai beaucoup aimé cette tenue c'est très sophistiquer j'adore !
Dara: alors je sais pas pourquoi mais j'adore cette tenue orange tigre c'est grandiose sur elle sa reflète notre Dara mignonne et enfantine sa se démarque des tenues classique!
Minzy: elle s'habille vraiment bien, laquelle choisir ? Pour ma part j'aime beaucoup la B c'est très classé assez unique et sa lui va très bien, cette chemise et ce sac font très bon ménage !

Et bien voilà, très long commentaire j'ai adoré chisir des tenues on se se sent comme un jury !

Best Magazine Shoot, j'ai longtemps hésité mais je choisis le A. Ce photoshoot pour le magasine Fault est juste fabuleux! Il n'y a pas d'autre mot. Les 2NE1 ont affichés un style vraiment sombre, j'aime beaucoup. De plus, l'idée des cornes était juste... Géniale! On est toujours agréablement surpris quand on voit ce genre de renouvellement dans le style d'un groupe. De plus, je trouve CL et Minzy divines.

Best Group On-stage Outfits, comme ilumi, je choisis les tenues A. Elles nous avaient encore surpris avec ces motifs hypers colorés (à contrario de photoshoot que j'ai choisi °-°)! De plus ça leur va vraiment bien. J'aimerai les voir plus souvent comme ça lors des lives.

Best Group Pubic Appearance Outfits, j'hésite vraiment entre la B et la D... A la New Evolution Concert Press Conference elles sont vraiment très élégantes, c'est très agréables à voir vu qu'elles sont assorties entre elles. Alors que aux MTV VMAJ elles montraient chacune un univers plus ou moins différent mais pour autant elles étaient accordées... Pour l'effort et la recherche, je choisis la D.

Best Solo Outfits - Bom: Vraiment, j'aime aucune des tenues... Mais bon, si on doit vraiment faire un choix... Je trouve que la tenue Best Solo Outfits C est la meilleure des quatre proposée.
Best Solo Outfits - CL: D! J'aime quand CL reprend son style baddass tout en étant pas trop bling bling. Puis qu'est-ce que j'adore Best Solo Outfits quand elle à ses bretelles Chanel! *3*
Best Solo Outfits - Dara: Alors là, j'aime tout! C'est difficile de faire un choix. Dara peut porter beaucoup de chose et à chaque fois montrer une image différente. Je ne peux même pas posséder par élimination... Rha, c'est une torture là ;o; Bon, aller je choisis la A, mais vraiment à contre coeur. J'adore Dara cute (B) et Dara rock (D), mais je trouve que la tenue A la vieillit un peu et on lui donne enfin (environ) son âge. De plus avec ça démarche on a l'impression que s'est une femme fière et sûre d'elle.
Best Solo Outfits - Minzy: La C, sans aucune hésitation cette fois-ci! Mon oeil a tout de suite été attiré par cette photo! Et à vrai dire Best Solo Outfits voir Minzy avec une robe (ç'est rare) qui de plus lui va à merveille et sans collant.... C'est: woaw!

Best Airport Style -Bom: B! Je la trouve trop chou dans cette tenue. ♥
Best Airport Style -CL: Ah, CL et tes couleurs mornes (mais toujours avec élégance) dès que tu voyages! Rien que pour ça, je choisis Best Solo Outfits ta cape bleue! (D)
Best Airport Style -Dara: D! J'adore cette veste "Tigrou" de plus, je trouve que ça lui va très bien.
Best Airport Style -Minzy: je me souviens d'avoir eu un gros coup de coeur quand Minzy portait la tenue B, puis j'adore la coiffure Best Solo Outfits qu'elle portait à l'époque, donc... B.

Best Magazine Shoot: Le shoot pour Fault, incontestablement. Elles y ont un style sombre mais classe, mature et un peu SFFF... Je suis fan. J'aime. J'adore.

Best Group on-stage outfit: La photo D, pour l'Inkigayo. J'adore ces vêtements, tout simplement, et ils sont assez uniques que je trouve, c'est vraiment quelque chose qu'on ne verra probablement pas ailleurs que sur elles.

Best Group Pubic Appearance Outfits: J'ai hésité entre la C et la D, parce que je trouve qu'elles sont bien plus classes sur la photo C, mais d'un autre côté, la D, c'était du pur 2NE1. Je choisis donc la D, parce que licorne, quoi. Licorne.

Bom's best solo outfit: Je choisis la C. Ce look lui allait juste trop bien, et c'est la meilleure des 4 photos proposées selon moi.

CL's best solo outfit: LA B!! J'adore ce look qu'elle avait à une époque. Les hauts larges avec un petit short, des collants un peu "upped" et des chaussures ultra féminines. Elle avait aussi quelque chose dans cet esprit-là dans l'émission japonaise où Bom a joué au ping-pong avec un des animateurs, et j'avais adoré. Ceci dit, la C est sublime également.

Dara's best solo outfit: Des 4, je préfère nettement la C. La robe, malgré le style un peu inhabituel, surtout pour Dara, lui donne un côté romantique qui me fait trop craquer. Ca va juste trop bien avec sa coiffure.

Minzy's best solo outfit: Je dois dire que la sélection des photos me laisse perplexe. C'est pas comme si on avait un style différent pour chaque photo. La A et la D sont pareilles (casquette de travers, fringues assez masculines un peu hip hop...), et la B et la C également (robe serrée à la poitrine et évasée en dessous). J'aime aucun des deux styles sur Minzy, je ne suis donc pas trop fan des 4 photos. Mais si je dois trancher, la A est la moins pire, selon moi.

Bom's best airport style: La A, obligé. Elle est juste trop classe dans cette tenue.

CL's best airport style: Là encore, la A, mais je dois dire que c'est plus par "élimination", les autres ne me plaisant vraiment pas.

Dara's best airport style: Je choisis la C, parce que je trouve la veste super originale, et que les autres styles ne me convainquent pas (la B, c'est juste immonde je trouve).

Minzy's best airport style: La sélection est encore bien nulle je trouve. Je prends la D par élimination, encore, et parce que c'est totalement inhabituel comme look.
